Start building new skills through private lessons with David Burr. Based out of the Gallows Hill Artist Studios in Salem MA. David has over 10 years of experience working with and teaching painting to a diverse community of artists.
Portraits and Figures
We will explore traditional and contemporary techniques for rendering anatomy and producing a likeness.
Drawing and Perception
Drawing is an incredibly versatile tool that is truly the framework for realizing any artistic vision. We will utilize techniques developed over centuries of artistic practice to record the world around us on paper.
Color and Materials
Color is a complex and abstract attribute of light. Through various media we will learn a few of the many techniques artists implement to respond to and control it.
